DENZIL PORTER RELEASES HIS NEWEST MIXTAPE,

PORTER’S POT

Not Hosted by DJ Drama

NEW YORK, NEW YORK DECEMBER 20, 2012 – Rapper Denzil Porter has just released his highly anticipated project, Porter’s Pot, Not Hosted by DJ Drama.  Tracks include club banger “Rock Paper Scissors”, intimate songs “Heavy Rain” and “Take Me Away” and newly released “The Truth” with skits featuring G-Unit Comedian Jack Thriller.  Porter’s Pot contains production by notable Home Made Music producers Christopher “Claws” Stevens and Mark XLNCE as well as new sound from Da Illfellaz and The Awesome Sound.  Porter’s Pot can be downloaded on DatPiff at http://www.datpiff.com/Denzil-Porter-Porters-Pot-mixtape.432229.html.

Porter’s Pot is short for Porter’s potential.  It is also synonymous with a melting pot, in which you can throw a little of everything in and get a lot out of, making something from nothing.  The pot is significant to every culture, be it a family using it to make soup, a scientist formulating medicine or a witch performing black magic. A pot is the strong foundation mixing and holding everything together as it combines as a whole.

Musically, Porter’s Pot is a collage of songs demonstrating the current culture of music mixed with Denzil’s musical potential.  The main goal for the mixtape is to show people that a host or a cosign is not needed if the music can speak for itself; hence, Porter’s Pot not being hosted by DJ Drama.  Though Porter’s Pot is considered a mixtape, it is easy to get lost in its production and receive it as a full album.

Grab a bowl of Porter’s Pot to see what people are talking about.

DENZIL PORTER RELEASES NEW MUSIC VIDEO “BRING IT ON”

With “Ray Bans” Supplement

BRONX, NEW YORK MAY 1, 2012 – Denzil Porter releases his newest music video to “Bring It On” with a B-side sample of “Ray Bans”.  “Bring It On”, produced by Trent is a feel good track off of Denzil Porter’s newest project Home Made Music.  The video can be viewed via YouTube here: http://youtu.be/d2H1GiI6gLc.

The video, produced by Stein A., is soulful, nostalgic and easy-going.  Inspired by A Tribe Called Quest’s “Award Tour” video, Denzil Porter gives you the visual to a song representing that special time in hip hop when music gave the listener a feeling of freedom and jubilance.  On this playful track, Denzil is able to just rap with no barriers, allowing him to “rap and say what he wanna” just as long as the “music don’t stop”.  “Bring It On” was created as a timestamp so that whenever one hears the track, be it today or 20 years from now, the listener will be able to reminisce on that good feeling this song gave them then and for years to come.

“Ray Bans”, produced by Christopher “Claws” Stevens, who is featured in the video, is a more current sounding track that blends right in at the end of the video with it’s smooth, futuristic beat and contemporary style.  Allowing listeners just a minute long taste of the track, Denzil Porter gives viewers a combination platter of music, which leaves us all only wanting more.

RAPPER DENZIL PORTER RE-RELEASES HIS VIDEO “INTUITION” IN HONOR OF WORLD AIDS DAY

A Year After Its Original Release, “Intuition” Continues to Spread a Valuable Message

BRONX, NEW YORK DECEMBER 1, 2011 – After so much positive feedback, rapper Denzil Porter has re-released the video to his popular track, “Intuition” off his newest project Home Made Music.  The video can be viewed via YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwOmHxwWdoQ.

“Intuition”, originally released in October 2010 for National HIV/AIDS Awareness Month was soon followed by its theatrical music video release just a couple months later on December 10, 2010 during World AIDS Month.  In just three short days, the video had already gained 8,000 views.  Not even a year later, the video has skyrocketed up to over 53,000 views and has been seen in countries as far as Canada, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.  “Intuition” has been featured on AIDS awareness and prevention sites as well as thousands of popular blogs including Rap Radar, Vlad TV, Nah Right and Real Talk NY.

“Intuition”, produced by Christopher “Claws” Stevens with video shot and directed by Jaison Williams and Fiona Amara, brings home the severity of the HIV virus and how easily it can be contracted, especially in a relationship lacking communication but full of intuition.  HIV and AIDS are not only issues within the African American and Latino community, but also issues worldwide.  “Intuition” is a track that not only hip-hop and rap listeners can appreciate, but also one that everyone can find significance and understanding in.

Though the video was released a year ago, the message will never get old.  “I’m re-releasing it because I don’t think enough people have seen it,” Denzil Porter says.  “Communication needs to be recognized as a form of contraception”.  Denzil Porter allows this message to be seen and heard across the world.
